Welsh Innovations in Healthcare
The aim of Welsh Innovations in Healthcare (WIsH) is to provide the NHS in Wales with advice and support to maximise the potential of Intellectual Property (IP) and innovations generated by NHS staff. The service is provided by ANGLE plc and TrusTECH under a contract from the Welsh Assembly Government.
The role of WIsH is to provide specialised advice and direct support in the identification, appraisal, selection and exploitation of service and technology innovation projects. In addition WIsH will provide training to NHS managers and staff in managing IP and its exploitation. Other activities include provision of information regarding wider Welsh expertise and services.
The aim of WIsH is to make NHS Trusts work better in Wales clinically, operationally and financially. And helping Trusts in the commercial arena means they can contribute to the Welsh economy.
