ANGLE has been appointed to bring international best practice in science park development to Qatar Science & Technology Park. Running from 2004 to
2009 and worth over £6 million, management of QSTP is ANGLE's largest fee-for-service contract.

With $750 million being invested in QSTP, it is well on its way to becoming one of the world's premier locations for research, technology development and commercialisation. Leading technology companies such as EADS, ExxonMobil, GE, Microsoft, Total and Shell have already been attracted to invest $225 million over their first five years at the science park.

ANGLE is responsible for the strategic planning and management of QSTP. We are leading the research and commercialisation process in Qatar through a raft of QSTP programmes including the creation and growth of new technology companies, establishment of investment funds, and the delivery of entrepreneurship training and mentoring programme. ANGLE is providing a seven person management team to lead QSTP, while simultaneously training Qatari nationals for key leadership roles.

Qatar Science ParkANGLE's UK and US Management teams have been active in supporting the Qatar based team on this project, particularly in the areas of capacity building, and will play an important role in maximising the opportunities available to QSTP from Asia, Europe and North America.

In addition the ANGLE US Management team were selected by the Qatar Foundation to undertake the development of a National Research Strategy for Qatar. The strategy underpins many aspects of the development of technology-based industry in Qatar. The work involved the development of comparative analyses of the research and development strategies of a wide range of other countries, coupled with an extensive consultation process within Qatar to arrive at a set of national research priorities and the development of the associated strategy and implementation plan.
